Possible Cause
The identification details on the
Data Card do not match the
identification details on the
device the patient is trying to
update.
There is an unrecoverable data
error on the Data Card.
The settings were not updated.
Solution
Check that the
identification details on the
Data Card are correct. (See
the clinician's manual for
your PC application for
instructions.)
Use the appropriate PC
application to reprogram
the settings on a new Data
Card and issue it to the
patient.
The message only appears
the first time a Data Card is
inserted into a device to
update settings. The patient
may have missed seeing the
message.
To check whether the
settings have actually been
applied:
• Ask the patient whether
the therapy they are
receiving feels different.
• Check the settings data
written on the Data Card
from the S8 Elite to see if
they are correct (refer to
your PC application
clinician's manual for
more information). If the
settings data on the Data
Card matches the
intended settings the
device has been
programmed
successfully.
