Problem
If the patient doesn't feel any difference in therapy and/or the settings are not
correct, you need to consider the following possible causes:
Possible Cause
Data Card given to patient did
not contain settings because the
patient received the wrong
card.
The Data Card was removed
before settings were copied to
the S8 Elite.
Data Card given to patient did
not contain settings because
programming of settings did not
complete.
Data Card was not inserted
correctly.
Data Card was only partly
inserted.
The card is not a ResScan Data
Card.
Solution
Use the appropriate PC
application to reprogram
the Data Card with the
settings, and reissue it to
the patient.
Check that the patient does
not remove the Data Card
before the
Settings Success
Remove Card message
appears on the LCD.
Use the appropriate PC
application to reprogram
the Data Card with the
settings, making sure that
programming completes.
Reissue the card to the
patient.
Check that the patient is
inserting the Data Card into
the Data Card module with
the arrow facing up, while
the S8 Elite is switched on
and not delivering therapy
(standby mode).
Check that the patient is
inserting the Data Card as
far as it will go into the slot
on the Data Card module.
Check that the card used is
a ResScan Data Card.
