Slimchain 230 V AC
DANGER
Risk of injury by the window leaf slamming open or closed:
The following must be heeded in addition in the case of bottom-hung
windows:
X
Use GEZE safety scissors (type 35 or type 60). The bottom-hung window
must not be operated if the safety scissors are missing.
X
The GEZE processing and installation guidelines must be observed
during installation of the scissors.
X
Note: Danger of pinching and clamping - make sure that nothing can
become caught in the area of the safety scissors.
During installation, heed the following:
à Only genuine consoles may be used for attachment.
à Use suitable fixing elements for installation. Recommendations can
be found in the respective installation instructions. Make sure that the
fixing elements in the profile fix the installed parts in place securely.
When drives are used for activating bottom-hung windows (open/close),
there is a potential danger of the window leaves falling out. For this reason,
GEZE prescribes the compulsory use of separate GEZE safety scissors not
connected with the drive.
The GEZE safety scissors ensure that a permanent fixed connection between
the frame and leaf is guaranteed – independently of the drive. The driven
bottom-hung window is only safely protected against falling out when
GEZE safety scissors (type 35 or type 60) are used.
Falling window leaves can be a significant danger for the life and limb or
persons near the window. For this reason, the use of GEZE safety scissors is
compulsory when GEZE drives are used on bottom-hung windows.
