SYMPTOMS
The flow of the welding wire is not constant.
The reel motor is not working.
Incorrect wire unwinding.
No current or wrong welding current.
The wire jams after passing through the
rollers.
The weld bead is porous.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
Clogs blocking the opening.
The wire slips in the roller.
One of the rollers is spinning.
The torch cable is twisted.
Reel brake or roller is too tight.
Dirty or damaged wire guide.
Roller pin key is missing.
Reel brake is too tight.
Improper connection of mains plug.
Poor earth connection.
No power.
Crushed wire guide sheath.
Wire jamming in the torch.
No capillary tube.
Wire speed too high.
The gas flow is insufficient.
Gas cylinder empty.
Unsatisfactory gas quality.
Air circulation or wind influence.

Arc voltage is too low or too high.

SOLUTIONS
Clean the contact tube or replace it with non-
stick material.
Reapply the non-stick product.
Check the tightness of the roller screw.
The torch cable should be as straight as
possible.
Loosen the brake and rollers.
Clean or replace.
Reposition the pin in its slot.
Loosen the brake.
Check the plug connection and verify that the
plug is connected to the power supply.
Check the earthing cable (its connection and
the condition of the clamp).
Check the torch trigger.
Check the sheath and torch.
Replace or clean.
Check that the capillary tube is present.
Reduce the wire speed.
Adjustment range from 15 to 20 L / min.
Clean the base metal.
Replace it.

Avoid draughts and protect the welding area.
Clean or replace gas nozzle.
Use a wire suitable for MIG/MAG welding.
