Safety marks
Pay attention to the safety marks! The
symbols have the following meanings:
When carrying out work in
which dust is generated,
wear a face mask and safety
goggles - do not smoke and avoid
naked flames.
Read the operating
instructions!
Wear safety goggles!
Always work with a dust
collection system connected!
Double insulated!
7 – Installation and setting
Insert Abrasive Sheets
WARNING! Switch off machine.
Pull out the mains plug.
Release clamping fixtures (5) holding
sanding sheet (Fig. 3). Place sanding
sheets tightly over the sanding pad (6),
making certain that the holes (4) in pad
and patch line up. Fold over projecting
paper and clamp in place with the
clamping devices for sandings.
Dust removal (Fig. 2)
The tool is provided with its own
dust removal system. Attach the
suction pipe of a domestic
vacuum cleaner to the suction hole (7);
if necessary, use the enclosed adapter.
Always work with the suction attachment
switched on.
Preselecting the oscillation frequency
(Fig. 1a)
The tool has an electronic control
system for preselection of the oscillation
frequency suitable for the material
concerned. To preselect the oscillation
frequency, turn the thumbwheel (10) to a
position between 1, lowest frequency, –
e.g. for light pre-sanding – and MAX,
highest frequency.
For non-binding recommended settings,
see fig. 4.
8 – Operation
ON/OFF
Insert mains plug into an outlet
• ON: Press switch (2) and hold.
• OFF: Release switch.
• Continuous operation ON: Press
switch, actuate lock knob (3) and lock
in place.
• Continuous operation OFF: Press
switch again - lock knob jumps out of
locking device and release.
9 – Mode of operation
Grinding
Turn on machine and deduster. Move
grinding surface over the material to be
ground/ sanded with sightly elliptical
movements. Do not apply any additional
pressure, the weight of the machine itself
