Lithium Powerpack operation (Fig. 6)
A fully charged Lithium Powerpack
enables approximately 2 1/2 hours of
portable clipping.
A new Lithium Powerpack will only
reach full charge capacity after it
has been charged and discharged 3
times.
f Charge the Lithium Powerpack before
use.
1. Connect the charger to the mains outlet
using the correct plug attachment.
2. Connect the charger cable to the Lithium
Powerpack. A full charge takes 4-6
hours, the charger light will turn green
when fully charged. Partial charging and
partial discharging will not damage the
Lithium Powerpack. Disconnect when not
in use.
Danger of explosion or fire!
f Only use the supplied charger for
charging the Lithium Powerpack.
f Before clipping, securely clip the Lithium
Powerpack to a belt or to clothing, or
place in a suitable pocket.
3. Connect the clipper to the Lithium
Powerpack. The clipper can now be
operated using the switch on the clipper.
Disconnect clipper when not in use.
4. To check the approximate charge level,
turn off the clipper and press the "fuel
gauge" button on the Lithium Powerpack.
Mains Adaptor operation (Fig. 7)
f The Mains Adaptor enables continuous
operation from a mains outlet.
1. Connect the Mains Adaptor to the mains
outlet using the correct plug attachment.
2. Connect the Clipper cable to the Mains
Adaptor cable. The clipper can now be
operated using the switch on the clipper.
Disconnect when not in use.
Danger of electric shock!
f Never attempt to connect the
Clipper directly to the mains
supply.
f Only use the original Mains
Adaptor with the voltage stated on
the nameplate.
f The Mains Adaptor is for Indoor
Use Only, store and use in dry
conditions.
f Do not use extension cables
trailing on the ground.
Vehicle Leads operation (Fig. 8)
The Vehicle Leads enable operation
from a 12V vehicle battery. The
battery does not have to be
disconnected from the vehicle.
The power consumption is equivalent
to leaving the vehicle's side-lights
on. The vehicle's engine does not
have to be running.
1. Uncoil the Vehicle Leads. Connect the
red clip to the positive terminal (+),
connect the black clip to the negative
terminal (-). If connected the wrong
way round, the motor rotation will be
reversed, this may damage the Clipper.
2. Connect the Clipper cable to the
Vehicle Leads. The clipper can now be
operated using the switch on the clipper.
Disconnect when not in use.
Danger of electric shock!
f Never attempt to connect the
Vehicle Leads to the mains
supply.
Danger of explosion or fire!
f Do not smoke or expose the
vehicle engine to naked flames.
f Do not damage or short-circuit the
vehicle battery.
Warning! Injuries from chemicals.
f Vehicle batteries contain harmful
