STORM WINDOW MODIFICATIONS
If you have storm windows, the exterior window frame will be slightly higher than the
windowsill, which results in an air conditioning unit that is slanted inward and will not
properly drain. Perform these modifications to ensure proper operation of your unit. If
you have a standard window, skip this step:
1. Cut a 2" thick piece of wood to the length of the interior window width.
2. Verify that the wood is level with or up to 0.5" (1cm) higher than the exterior storm-
window frame.
3. Fasten the wood with screws to the windowsill and proceed with mounting.
