Hold the upper hotplate q in place to prevent it from falling and press
the RELEASE button w. The upper hotplate q is released from the
appliance.
Clean the hotplates q you have removed in warm water with a little deter-
gent in it. For severe incrustations, leave the hotplates q to soak in the water
for a while. After washing, rinse the hotplates q with fresh water to remove
all detergent residues. Dry everything properly. The hotplates q must be dry
before you put them back in the appliance!
NOTE
To refit the hotplates q, place them onto the base so that the two notches
next to the fat outlet 0 grip onto the hooks on the base. Then press down
the front part of the hotplate q until you hear it engage.
Proceed in the same way with the second hotplate q.

Wipe the surfaces of the appliance with a damp cloth. If necessary, apply
a mild detergent to the cloth. Afterwards, wipe the appliance with a cloth
moistened only with water to remove any detergent residues. Ensure that all
parts are completely dry before reusing the appliance.
Wipe the grill thermometer r with a damp cloth. For more stubborn dirt,

add a little detergent to the cloth. Afterwards, remove any detergent residues
by wiping it off again with a cloth moistened with fresh water only. Dry the
grill thermometer r well afterwards.
Clean the cleaning scraper e in warm water with a little washing-up liquid.

Rinse any remaining detergent off with fresh water.
NOTE
Clean the emptied fat drip tray 9 in hot water and washing-up liquid. Rinse
■
off detergent residues with fresh water and dry it well. Slide the fat drip tray
9 back into the appliance.
