Potato ricer

Pumpkin and mashed sweet potatoes
Preparation and cooking time: approx. 30 min. | Serves 4 as side dish
1 lbs
Sweet potatoes
1 lbs
Pumpkin
Salted water, simmering
2 oz
Butter
2/3 cup
Whole milk
A pinch
Cinnamon
A pinch
Nutmeg
½ tsp.
Salt
Pepper, to taste
1. Peel the sweet potatoes and pumpkin, cut
into chunks and cook them in an open pot in
simmering salted water for approx. 20 min.
or until tender. Drain the water, then then
move the pot back and forth on the turned-
off hob to cook off any excess moisture
on the potatoes. Strain the potatoes and
pumpkin through the Potato Ricer portion
by portion, as shown in the instructions
(see p. 6).
2. Cut butter into pieces and stir into the
mixture. Heat up the milk and add slowly
while stirring constantly until the desired
consistency has been reached. Stir in the
cinnamon and nutmeg, and season to taste
with salt and pepper.
Serve with: Filled meatballs
