Transporting the Balance

Before moving the balance, switch it to the standby mode, then
unplug the power connector and remove the weighing pan from
the balance.

Shipping the Balance

Prior to shipping, switch the balance to standby
mode (see 8) and then pull the plug.
Please use the original packaging for shipping.
Packaging can be ordered through the Sartorius
Service Center if required.
Detaching the Draft Shield / Weighing Pan
The balance can also be secured
at the installation location with
a chain and lock, for example.
Avoid glass breakage,
shocks and vibrations:
Never lift or carry the
balance by its draft
shield!
Hold the balance under the
housing, lift it up carefully and
carry it to its new location.
The balance needs to
be re-leveled and then
adjusted each time
its setup location is
changed.
Danger of damage to
the side panels!
The guide carriages
of the side panels are
provided with fine steel
filaments.
Removal of these steel
filaments or carrying
out any other modi-
fications to the guide
carriages is forbidden.
Press against the front of the cover

from both sides and fold it upwards.
Push the upper panel forwards and
t
pull it out of the draft shield.
Push the side panels slightly
t
backwards and remove them from the
draft shield.
Pull the front panel over the groove of
t
the draft shield and remove the panel.
Pull the front panel over the groove
t
on the bottom of the draft shield and
remove the panel.
Pull the weighing pan out of the
t
collection container.
Remove the collection container.

Pull the weighing pan out of the
t
collection container.
Take the shield disk off the collection
t
container.
Lift out the collection container.

Packing the Balance
Place the balance in the bottom part
t
of the packaging.
Place the remaining components of
t
the balance into the recesses provided
in the packaging part:
− Collection container
− Weighing pan
− Right and left side panels
− Top panel
− Front panel
− Shield disks (Secura
Seal the packaging part with the
t
components and place in the recess
provided.
Put the top part of the packaging over
t
the device parts.
Next, put the packaged balance into
t
the cardboard box and seal the box.
