6.6.3 Fully automatic triggering in E-TTL mode with two flash units
(Canon only) with adjustment of the powder flash power ratios
You can divide your slave flashes into two groups: A and B. Proceed as
follows, to allocate separate flash powers to groups in E-TTL mode:
Divide the flashes into group A and B
• When using <Slave> mode, press function button 3 and allocate A or B to
the device.
• When using <Master> mode, press function button 4 until <Menu2> is
displayed.
• Then press function button 2 until <Ration A:B> is shown in the display.
• Press function button 3 and set the flash power.
• Press the SET button to save the settings.

You can integrate a third group into groups A and B. This group can, for
example, be used to brighten any shadows.
Incorporating group C
• Use the basic settings from 6.11.2 and select group C.
• Then choose <Ratio A:B:C>.
• Select group C for the chosen slave flash.
• Press the SET button to save the settings.
Controlling the slave groups
If several flashes in a group are combined, they will be
treated as a single flash.
If the <A:B:C> setting is used, all three groups will be
triggered. If the <A:B> setting is used, group C will not
be triggered.
6.6.5 Wireless flash in manual mode
Just like in TTL mode, you can also trigger the flash
wirelessly in M mode (optical). Use the same setting as
for ETTL / i-TTL mode.
6.6.6 Wireless flash with radio (2.4 GHz)
Your speedlight is fitted with a 2.4 GHz receiver. This function is only availab-
le as standard with special devices such as those in the X1R series.
Multi or RPT wireless settings for using manual flash
• Press the Mode button until Multi (Canon) or RPT is displayed.
