5.1 Wired configuration
Select 'Wired' and press 'OK' to apply the configuration setting. Press 'OK' to select 'Done'.
The Wired configuration is now complete. Please continue to 'Chapter 6' for the use of the Media
Player.
Note:
By default the C54WMP will search for a DHCP server. If the C54WMP is configured correctly
you will find an IP address on the bottom of the screen. If the screen is showing: IP: 0.0.0.0
the device could not find an IP address and you have to configure the C54WMP IP Network
settings manually (Chapter 5.4).
5.2 Wireless configuration
The C54WMP does support Wireless LAN (802.11b/g):
•
ESSID: Auto detection or manually entered when ESSID broadcast is off.
•
Infrastructure or Ad-hoc Mode.
•
Authentication: Auto, Shared Key, Open system.
•
Key Format: Off, WEP64, WEP64Hex, WEP128, WEP128Hex, WPA-PSK, WPA2 AES.
•
Key value: Configurable through the KeyFormat.
•
Channel: auto detect.
Select 'Wireless' and press 'OK' to apply the configuration setting.
The C54WMP will search for available access points.
When your access points is broadcasting its SSID you can select it.
The signal strength indicator can have 3 colours: red, yellow and green. If the indicator is green you
have the best possible connection between C54WMP and your access point.
Yellow is acceptable for normal usage and when your access point signal strength is red indicated we
advise you to change the position of your C54WMP or access point.
Note:
We do not advise high stream bandwidth movies to be played with red or yellow signal
indicator.
Select the access point and press OK on the remote control.
Select 'Next' and press 'OK'.
If you have made encryption settings in your access point you have to enter the same settings into
the C54WMP as you have configured into your access point.
