Injection Seal Kit
(For serial numbers greater than 07141221)
This kit contains:
(1) J015 Plunger seal
(2) J053 Collar o-ring
(1) 20J024 Stem o-ring
(1) PJDI007 Check valve

Remove check valve
nut (PDI410), check
valve assembly
(PJDI007), locking nut
(PDI496), locking ring
(PDI498), adjusting nut
(PDI495) and upper
black nut (PDI494).
Set all aside.
5. Remove white
stem (PDI720) from
sleeve (PDI722) by
tapping the white
stem from the bot-
tom and pushing
it up through the
sleeve (PDI722).
Remove and replace
white stem o-ring
(20J024).
To remove o-ring easily without
tools, squeeze it on either side to
raise the seal, then slide it over
the groove.
Kit Contents:
20J024:
PJDI007: Check
Stem o-ring
valve assembly
J053:
Collar o-rings
J015: Plunger seal
We recommend cleaning all parts with warm
soapy water and a toothbrush before
installing the new parts.
Water normally lubricates the parts, but you
may use silicone on the o-ring to facilitate
insertion.
Check valve may be taken apart and
cleaned in between maintenance to remove
particles.
CAUTION: Parts may contain
STOP
concentrated chemicals. The use of
Proper Protective Equipment is recom-
mended when performing maintenance.
6. Re-insert white
stem (PDI720) into
sleeve (PDI722).
Make sure the
long groove on the
side of the white
stem lines up with
the molded key in
the bottom on the
inside of sleeve
(PDI722).
Re-install the upper black nut
7.
(PDI494) and adjusting nut
(PDI495).
Turn to 8%
on the gradu-
ated strip.
Make
sure
NOT to
cross-
thread
nut.
Instructions
(Parts included in kit noted in blue)
1.
Unscrew
upper black nut
(PDI494) and
pull down
complete stem
assembly.
2.
Remove and
replace plunger
seal (J015).
3. Remove 4 screws (M101) and twist
off collar
(PDI552).
Remove and
replace top
collar o-ring
(J053). Twist collar back into lower
housing, making sure not to pinch
o-ring. Replace 4 screws (M101).
DO NOT overtighten.
Remove and replace lower collar
o-ring (J053).
Re-install
8.
locking ring
(PDI498), then
locking nut
(PDI496).
Install new
check valve
assembly
(PJDI007). Re-install check valve nut
(PDI410).
9.
Twist injection stem assembly into
collar (PDI552)
making sure
NOT to pinch
lower collar
o-ring. Hand tighten upper black nut
(PDI494).
Do not forget to reset the injector
to the proper percentage.
