2. GENERAL USE & SAFETY
WARNINGS
While using electrical tools,
several basic safety precau-
tions must always be followed in
order to reduce the risk of fire, elec-
tric shocks and personal injuries.
Read and understand the
manual before start using
this equipment. Save this manual
for future reference.
2.1 - GENERAL
These preventive measures are es-
sential for your safety. Always use
the machine with care in a responsi-

This instruction manual is an inte-
gral part of the machine and must
always be provided.
Get familiar with the equipment's
control devices and operation. The
user must know how to stop the
sander immediately.
Stay alert and use common sense
while operating an electric tool. A
moment of distraction may result in
serious injury.
Use this machine only if you are in
good physical and mental condi-
tions. Do not use this machine if you
are tire or under the influence of al-
cohol, drugs or medication. If you
suffer from any health problem,
please ask your doctor about the

Never allow the sander to be used
by children, people with limited
physical, sensorial or mental capa-
bilities, with lack of experience and
knowledge of this machine and who
is not familiar with the instructions.
This sander must only be used
as described in this instruction

sides the described.
Do not overload the power tool and
use it properly for each type of
work. Using this equipment for pur-
poses other than the intended and
an improper use of the accessories
may result in dangerous situations.
For safety reasons, any changes
other than the assembly of accesso-
ries authorized by the manufacturer
are prohibited. Any changes made
void the warranty.
You can obtain any information
about the authorized accessories
through your VITO official distribu-
tor.
2.2 - ELECTRICAL SAFETY
The power tool has double in-
sulation, which means that all
external metal parts are insulated
from electrical components. There-
fore, in accordance with EN 60745,
no earth connection is required.
However, double insulation is not a
substitute for normal safety precau-
tions, which must be adhered to
when using the tool.
Hold the power tool only for insu-
lated surfaces that prevent electric
shock if the tool contacts hidden
wiring or with the power tool cable
during use.
Do not use power tools in an
explosive environment, espe-
cially in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dusts. Power tools
create sparks that may ignite liquids,
gases, or dust.
The supply voltage must
match the technical specifica-
tions of the power tool. Keep the
voltage between ± 5% of the nomi-
nal value. Do not use the tool in
27
places where the supply voltage is
not stable.
The power cord of the power tool
must be plugged into an electrical
outlet with differential protection
and grounding.
If the workplace is extremely hot,
damp or with a high concentration
of dust, the circuit of the power out-
let must be protected with a circuit
breaker (30 mA) to ensure the safety
of the user.
Do not expose power tools to rain or
use them in wet or damp environ-
ments. Entry of water into an elec-
tric tool increases the risk of tool
damage and electric shock to the
user.
Never use the power cord to pull,
carry, or unplug the tool. Damaged
power cables increase the risk of
electric shock.
Keep the power cord and plug away
from sources of heat, oil, sharp ob-
jects and rotating accessories. Check
the power cord regularly, if it is dam-
aged, it must be replaced by a quali-
fied technician, it is not allowed to
repair it.
Never modify the plug of the power
cord and use a plug compatible with
the plug. Do not use any type of
adapter.
The use of extension cords for con-
necting the power cord is not rec-
ommended. However, if you use an
extension, you should have some
care, such as:
If using this machine outdoors, use
only suitable extension cords for
outdoor use. Using a proper exten-
sion cord reduces de risk of electric
shock;
Use only extension cords with 3
cables, plugs and sockets with
ground connection;
The extension cable section must
be proportional to the length and
