VERTEBRADYN
-LIGHT is an orthotic device for stabilization of the lumbar vertebral column (lumbar spine)
®
with a relieving effect.
The anatomically pre-formed spring steel rods integrated into the back of the device together with the
pressure which develops via compression in the abdomen stabilize and bring relief to the lumbar spine and
the transition between the lumbar spine and the sacrum. Using the continuously adjustable Velcro closure,
the compression pressure of the VERTEBRADYN
adjusted using the two elastic tension elements (tension straps).
By using the hand loops attached to the closure, the orthotic device is particularly convenient to put on.
The anatomically designed orthotic device made of elasticated and breathable material provides functional
compression with high wearing comfort.

C O N T R A - I N D I C AT I O N S
Generally speaking you should see the doctor treating you about the indication and method of wearing an
orthopaedic aid and if you have the following conditions:
_ Allergic, inflammatory or lesion-specific skin alterations (e.g. swelling, reddening) of the body areas
being treated.
_ Impaired circulation or lymphatic soft tissue swelling.
_ Neurogenically-specific organoleptic and skin trophic disorders in the body area being treated (sensory
disorders with and without skin damage).
So far not consequential incompatibilities or allergic reactions have been reported.
S I D E - E F F E C T S
With proper use and proper fitting, so far there have been no reports of serious general side-effects.
Local pressure symptoms and impaired circulation can be prevented with sufficient certainty on an indi-
vidual basis if allowance is made for any contraindications and with non-restricting consistently shaped
body fitting.
F I T T I N G

Place the orthotic device around the abdomen. The tension straps are located at the top and the
stiffening rods are positioned in the middle of the back. Put your fingers into the loops attached on
both sides of the closure of the VERTEBRADYN
and bring the closure evenly to the front.

Firstly, place the left closing half on the abdomen and pull the right closing half as far as is possible
to the front until fastening the hook-and-loop closure is possible. Now pull your fingers out of the
loops and close the Velcro fastener of the VERTEBRADYN
hook-and-loop closure, ensure that the closure plates are placed evenly over each other.

Attach the ends of the tension straps under tension to the lower edge of the base closure. Ensure that
the Velcro surfaces are placed completely over each other and that contact with clothing or skin is
avoided.

The spring steel rods can be adapted to match the individual anatomy, if necessary. They cannot be re-
moved.

The product is to be used by one patient only.
Improper modifications to the product and/or improper use of the product referred to above exempt the
manufacturer from product liability.
You ought to discuss potential reciprocal health risks or other disadvantages with specific treatments that
may arise in connection with the use of the product with the doctor treating you.
For the product to work effectively over a long period, it must not be worn in conjunction with fatty or acidic
remedies, oint ments or lotions.

system. If you still have any complaints about our product, we kindly ask that you contact your specialist
retailer.
C A R E
We recommend to hand wash the orthotic device in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, allowing it to dry in
the air and not to put it on the radiator. In order to avoid damage to other items of clothing during washing,
the orthotic device is best washed separately - close the hook-and-loop closure beforehand.
