To set the time to the nearest second, the small-seconds hand can be stopped in this position.
Special Functions
P1: Starting and stopping of the chronograph: A single press starts the direct-drive seconds hand (E). After
a minute, the minutes-counter hand (F) jumps to one minute, in contrast with the 1/10th-of-second
counter (G). A second press stops the chronograph function.
P2: Resetting the chronograph to zero: Press once and the three chronograph hands (direct-drive seconds
(E), minutes counter (F) and 1/10th-of-a-second counter (G)) are reset to zero. This function operates
only when the chronograph has first been stopped (see P1).
P3: Setting the zero position.
Before the zero can be corrected, the chronograph function must be stopped by pressing push-piece P1
and then push-piece P2. The position of the three chronograph hands (direct-drive seconds (E), minutes
counter (F), and 1/10th-of-second counter (G)) can be altered as follows:
- Press push-pieces P1 and P2 simultaneously for at least two seconds.
- Press push-piece P1 to return the direct-drive seconds hand (E) to zero.
- Press push-piece P2 to confirm and move on to the next hand.
- Press push-piece P1 to return the 1/10th-of-second counter hand (G) to zero.
- Press push-piece P2 to confirm and move on to the next hand.
- Press push-piece P1 to return the minutes-counter hand (F) to zero.
- Push the crown back to position 1 to terminate the zero setting.
N.B. The date setting in position 2 (D) cannot be changed manually between 9 p.m. and midnight. Any
alteration made during this period may damage the movement.
