These instructions explain how to correctly use your equipment. Only
certain techniques and uses are described.
The warning symbols inform you of some potential dangers related to
the use of your equipment, but it is impossible to describe them all.
Check Petzl.com for updates and additional information.
You are responsible for heeding each warning and using your
equipment correctly. Any misuse of this equipment will create
additional dangers. Contact Petzl if you have any doubts or difficulty
understanding these instructions.
1. Field of application
Personal protective equipment (PPE).
Accessory cord for vertical activities. This cord does not absorb energy
and is not suitable for arresting a fall.
This product must not be pushed beyond its limits, nor be used for
any purpose other than that for which it is designed.
This product must only be used by competent and responsible
persons, or those placed under the direct and visual control of a
competent and responsible person.
Responsibility
WARNING
Activities involving the use of this equipment are
inherently dangerous.
You are responsible for your own actions, decisions and
safety.
Before using this equipment, you must:
- Read and understand all Instructions for Use.
- Get specific training in its proper use.
- Become acquainted with its capabilities and limitations.
- Understand and accept the risks involved.
Failure to heed any of these warnings may result in severe
injury or death.
You are responsible for your actions, your decisions and your safety
and you assume the consequences of same. If you are not able, or
not in a position to assume this responsibility, or if you do not fully
understand the Instructions for Use, do not use this equipment.
2. Nomenclature

3. Inspection, points to verify
Petzl recommends a detailed inspection at least once every 12
months. Follow the procedures described at Petzl.com/ppe. Record
the results on your PPE inspection form.
Before and after each use
Visually check the condition of the sheath along the entire length of the
cord. Make sure there are no cuts, burns, frayed or broken strands,
fuzzy areas, or signs of chemicals...
Carry out a tactile inspection of the core along the entire length of
the cord, as indicated in the drawing. This allows you to detect areas
where the core is damaged (hard spot, mushy area...).
Check the condition of the sewn terminations (wear, burns, frayed
strands, fuzzy areas, or signs of chemicals) and the condition of the
plastic sleeve (deformation, cuts...).
During use
It is important to regularly monitor the condition of the product and its
connections to the other equipment in the system. Make sure that all
items of equipment are correctly positioned with respect to each other.
Beware of any sharp edges or rubbing that can damage the cord.
4. Compatibility
Verify that this product is compatible with the other elements of the
system in your application (compatible = good functional interaction).
Observe the compatibility information specified in the Instructions for
Use for your devices.
Use a harness that meets current standards in your country (e.g. EN
361, EN 12277 or NFPA life safety harness).
5. Strength
Static strength without terminations: 16 kN.
NFPA-specific information:
Elongation at 1.35 kN.
Elongation at 2.7 kN.
Elongation at 4.4 kN.
6. Precautions
WARNING: a cord is not a rope and cannot replace a rope for normal
use. The small diameter and construction of the cord makes it more
slippery than a rope. Adapt your vigilance, technique and equipment
according to your usage.
7. Additional information
Knot
A knot reduces the cord's initial strength.
Ice and moisture
Wet or icy cord is less abrasion-resistant and can be more slippery.
Aging
Warning: this cord swells with use and can shrink in length by up
to 10 %.
It is important to note that certain environmental factors can affect
the physical properties of the cord (sun exposure, chemicals, high
temperatures...).
When to retire your equipment
WARNING: an exceptional event can lead you to retire a product after
only one use (depending on the type and intensity of usage, and the
environment of usage: harsh environments, marine environments,
sharp edges, extreme temperatures or exposure to flames,
chemicals...).
A product must be retired when:
- It is over 10 years old and made of plastic or textiles.
- It has been subjected to a major fall (or load).
- It fails to pass inspection. You have any doubt as to its reliability.
- You do not know its full usage history.
- When it becomes obsolete due to changes in legislation, standards,
technique or incompatibility with other equipment...
Destroy these products to prevent further use.

1. Champ d'application
Équipement de protection individuelle (EPI).
Cordelette auxiliaire pour les activités de verticalité. Une cordelette
ne peut pas absorber d'énergie, elle ne convient pas pour l'arrêt
de chute.
Ce produit ne doit pas être sollicité au-delà de ses limites ou dans
toute autre situation que celle pour laquelle il est prévu.
Ce produit ne doit être utilisé que par des personnes compétentes
et avisées ou placées sous le contrôle visuel direct d'une personne
compétente et avisée.

3. Contrôle, points à vérifier
Petzl conseille une vérification approfondie au minimum tous les 12
mois. Respectez les modes opératoires décrits sur le site Petzl.com/
epi. Enregistrez les résultats sur la fiche de vie de votre EPI.
Avant et après chaque utilisation
Vérifiez visuellement l'état de la gaine sur toute la longueur de la
cordelette. Assurez-vous qu'elle ne présente pas d'entailles, brûlures,
fils effilochés ou cassés, zones pelucheuses ou traces de produits
chimiques...
Effectuez un contrôle tactile de l'âme sur toute la longueur de
cordelette, comme indiqué sur le dessin. Cela vous permet de déceler
les zones où l'âme est endommagée (point dur, chaussette...).
Vérifiez l'état des terminaisons cousues (usure, brûlures, fils effilochés,
zones pelucheuses ou traces de produits chimiques) et l'état du
manchon plastique (déformations, coupures...).
Pendant l'utilisation
Il est important de contrôler régulièrement l'état du produit et de ses
connexions avec les autres équipements du système. Assurez-vous
du bon positionnement des équipements les uns par rapport aux
autres.
Attention à toute arête tranchante ou frottement pouvant endommager
votre cordelette.
4. Compatibilité
Vérifiez la compatibilité de ce produit avec les autres éléments du
système dans votre application (compatibilité = bonne interaction
fonctionnelle). Respectez les informations de compatibilité
mentionnées sur la notice technique de vos appareils.
Utilisez un harnais conforme aux normes en vigueur dans votre pays
(par exemple : EN 361, EN 12277 ou NFPA life safety harness).
5. Résistance
Résistance statique sans extrémité : 16 kN.
Informations spécifiques NFPA :
Élongation à 1,35 kN.
Élongation à 2,7 kN.
Élongation à 4,4 kN.
6. Précautions
Attention, une cordelette n'est pas une corde et ne peut pas
remplacer une corde en utilisation normale. Le petit diamètre et la
construction de la cordelette la rendent plus glissante qu'une corde.
Adaptez votre vigilance, votre technique et votre matériel en fonction
de votre utilisation.
7. Informations complémentaires
Nœud
Un nœud réduit la résistance initiale de la cordelette.
Gel et humidité
Sous l'effet de l'humidité et du gel, une cordelette est plus sensible à
l'abrasion et peut être plus glissante.
Vieillissement
Attention, à l'usage une cordelette grossit et peut perdre jusqu'à 10
% de sa longueur.
Il est important de souligner que certains facteurs environnementaux
peuvent affecter les propriétés physiques de la cordelette
(ensoleillement, produits chimiques, hautes températures...).
Mise au rebut
ATTENTION, un événement exceptionnel peut vous conduire à rebuter
un produit après une seule utilisation (type et intensité d'utilisation,
environnement d'utilisation : milieux agressifs, milieux marins, arêtes
coupantes, températures extrêmes ou expositions à la flamme,
produits chimiques...).
Un produit doit être rebuté quand :
- Il a plus de 10 ans et est composé de plastique ou de textile.
- Il a subi une chute importante (ou effort).
- Le résultat des vérifications du produit n'est pas satisfaisant. Vous
avez un doute sur sa fiabilité.
- Vous ne connaissez pas son historique complet d'utilisation.
- Quand son usage est obsolète (évolution législative, normative,
technique ou incompatibilité avec d'autres équipements...).
Détruisez ces produits pour éviter une future utilisation.

Garantie 3 ans

1. Anwendungsbereich
Persönliche Schutzausrüstung (PSA).
Hilfsreepschnur für vertikale Aktivitäten. Eine Reepschnur kann
keine Energie aufnehmen. Sie ist nicht zum Auffangen eines Sturzes
geeignet.
Dieses Produkt darf nicht über seine Grenzen hinaus belastet werden.
Es darf ausschließlich zu dem Zweck verwendet werden, für den es
entworfen wurde.
Dieses Produkt darf nur von kompetenten und besonnenen Personen
verwendet werden oder von Personen, die unter der direkten Aufsicht
und visuellen Kontrolle einer kompetenten und besonnenen Person
stehen.
Haftung
WARNUNG
Aktivitäten, bei denen diese Ausrüstung zum Einsatz
kommt, sind naturgemäß gefährlich.
Für Ihre Handlungen, Entscheidungen und für Ihre
Sicherheit sind Sie selbst verantwortlich.

2. Benennung der Teile

3. Überprüfung, zu kontrollierende
Punkte
Petzl empfiehlt eine gründliche Überprüfung mindestens alle 12
Monate. Bitte beachten Sie die auf Petzl.com/ppe beschriebenen
Vorgehensweisen. Tragen Sie die Ergebnisse in den Prüfbericht Ihrer
PSA ein.
Vor und nach jedem Gebrauch
Kontrollieren Sie den Zustand des Mantels über die gesamte Länge
der Reepschnur. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Mantel keine
Einschnitte, Brandstellen, ausgefransten oder beschädigten Fäden,
aufgerauten Stellen oder Spuren von Chemikalien aufweist.
Tasten Sie den Kern wie in der Abbildung gezeigt über die gesamte
Länge der Reepschnur ab. Auf diese Weise können Sie feststellen, ob
der Kern beschädigt ist (harte Stellen, schwammige Bereiche usw.).
Überprüfen Sie den Zustand der vernähten Endverbindungen
(Abnutzungserscheinungen, Brandstellen, ausgefranste Fäden,
aufgeraute Stellen oder Spuren von chemischen Produkten) sowie den
Zustand der Schutzhülle (Deformierung, Einschnitte usw.).
Während des Gebrauchs
Es ist unerlässlich, den Zustand des Produkts und seiner
Verbindungen mit anderen Ausrüstungsgegenständen im System
regelmäßig zu überprüfen. Stellen Sie stets sicher, dass die einzelnen
Ausrüstungsgegenstände im System richtig zueinander positioniert
sind.
Achten Sie auf scharfe Kanten oder Scheuerstellen, welche die
Reepschnur beschädigen können.
4. Kompatibilität
Überprüfen Sie die Kompatibilität dieses Produkts mit den
anderen Elementen Ihres Systems (Kompatibilität = funktionelles
Zusammenspiel). Beachten Sie die Kompatibilitätshinweise in der
Gebrauchsanleitung Ihrer Geräte.
Benutzen Sie einen mit den in Ihrem Land geltenden Normen
übereinstimmenden Gurt (z.B. EN 361, EN 12277 oder NFPA life
safety harness).
5. Bruchlast
Statische Festigkeit ohne Endverbindung: 16 kN.
Spezielle Informationen der NFPA:
Dehnung bei 1,35 kN.
Dehnung bei 2,7 kN.
Dehnung bei 4,4 kN.
6. Vorsichtsmaßnahmen
Achtung, eine Reepschnur ist kein Seil und kann dieses für
seinen normalen Einsatz nicht ersetzen. Aufgrund ihres geringen
Durchmessers und ihres Aufbaus ist eine Reepschnur glatter als ein
Seil. Passen Sie Ihre Wachsamkeit, Ihre Technik und Ihre Ausrüstung
der Verwendung entsprechend an.
7. Zusätzliche Informationen
Knoten
Ein Knoten reduziert die anfängliche Bruchlast der Reepschnur.
Frost und Feuchtigkeit
Eine feuchte oder vereiste Reepschnur ist empfindlicher gegen Abrieb
und kann rutschiger sein.
Alterung
Warnung, eine benutzte Reepschnur wird mit der Zeit dicker und kann
bis zu 10 % ihrer Länge verlieren.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass gewisse Umgebungsfaktoren (Sonne,
chemische Produkte, hohe Temperaturen usw.) die physikalischen
Eigenschaften der Reepschnur beeinträchtigen können.
Aussondern von Ausrüstung
ACHTUNG, außergewöhnliche Umstände können die Aussonderung
eines Produkts nach einer einmaligen Anwendung erforderlich machen
(Art und Intensität der Benutzung, Anwendungsbereich: aggressive
Umgebungen, Meeresklima, scharfe Kanten, extreme Temperaturen
oder Berührung mit offenen Flammen, Chemikalien usw.).
In folgenden Fällen muss ein Produkt ausgesondert werden:
- Wenn es mehr als 10 Jahre alt ist (Kunststoff- und Textilprodukte).
- Nach einem schweren Sturz (oder Belastung).
- Das Überprüfungsergebnis ist nicht zufriedenstellend, das Produkt
fällt bei der Überprüfung durch. Sie bezweifeln seine Zuverlässigkeit.
- Die vollständige Gebrauchsgeschichte ist nicht bekannt.
- Das Produkt ist veraltet (Änderung der gesetzlichen Bestimmungen,
der Normen und der technischen Vorschriften, Inkompatibilität mit
anderen Ausrüstungsgegenständen usw.).
Zerstören und entsorgen Sie diese Produkte, um ihren weiteren
Gebrauch zu verhindern.

Auf Material- und Fabrikationsfehler. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen
sind: normale Abnutzung, Oxidation, Änderungen oder
Nachbesserungen, unsachgemäße Lagerung, unsachgemäße
Wartung, Nachlässigkeiten und Anwendungen, für die das Produkt
nicht bestimmt ist.
