ENGLISH
If the pump turns in the wrong direction, reverse 2
power supply wires on the terminal box of the motor
concerned.
- Gradually open the discharge valve and check for
pressure stability.
6.3 Operation
Normal stop
- Close the discharge valve and stop the valve.
Prolonged stop
- Close both isolating valves of the pump and, if
necessary, drain the pump casing (through the
plug(s) provided on certain pumps).
- When restarting, make sure that the motors turn freely
without hard seizing, fill the pump and suction pipe.
- Bleed the mechanical seal.
7. MAINTENANCE
No special maintenance in operation. Keep the pump
perfectly clean.
Replacement frequencies
Remark : these are no more than recommendations ;
the actual replacement frequencies will depend on

Mechanical seal
- the mechanical seal needs no servicing in
operation.
- It must never allowed to operate dry.
- After wear of faces rub, making to proceed to this
replacement.
JRC OPTION : FILLING COVER WITH SEAL
Obturate the hole of the pump during the repairs.
The operting in continu duty of the installation is pro-
vided by the starting of the emergency pump.

a) Act on upper part (fan) of the motor, using a BTR wrench.
b) Check its setting against the current marked on the motor data plate, or
reset the circuit-breaker by pressing the lower push-button. Check the
current.
c) Disconnect the terminal box of the motor in question, measure the win
ding resistances and the isolation.
d) Check their ratings and replace if necessary.
e) Check the power consumption and the voltage at the motor terminals.
Check that the motor ventilation is correct. The maximum ambient tem
perature must be +40 °C. Reset the circuit-breaker by pressing the lower
push-button on control box Y1200 or the external push-button on box 439 DS.
a) Check the electrical connection and reverse two phase wires on the
motor terminal block.
b) Gradually open the valve until the pressure is completely stable.
Check that the suction valve is fully open.
c) Check the power supply voltage (small-section cables cause voltage
drop in the line).
a) Bleed the pump using the hand bleed device until water flows out , and
then close.
b) Check the front and rear impeller gaskets, replace them if necessary.
Use pipe supports in order not to generate stresses on pump casing.
