Cervical orthosis
Purpose
The Ortel T-Neck and Ortel T-Neck Plus are orthoses for stabilising (T-Neck) and
immobilising (T-Neck Plus) the cervical spine. The orthoses may only be used for
cervical spine treatment.
Indications
Ortel T-Neck:
• Radicular pain in the cervical spinal region
• Severe whiplash injury
• Moderate to severe cervical syndrome
• Inflammations
• Stable, non-dislocated vertebral body fractures (without neurological symptoms)
Ortel T-Neck Plus:
• Preoperative
• Postoperative
• Posttraumatic
• Inflammatory diseases
• Degeneration
• Severe instabilities of the cervical spine
• Stable, non-dislocated vertebral body fractures (without neurological symptoms)
Contraindications
• Skin injuries or diseases in the body segment receiving care
• Unstable vertebral body fractures combined with neurological phenomena
Side effects
To date, no side effects have been registered during proper use.
Precautions
Follow the advice of the professional who prescribed or supplied the product.
Check the skin in the region of the orthosis contact surfaces regularly for tender
spots, redness or other changes. Consult your professional if discomfort occurs.
Store at room temperature, preferably in its original packaging. For hygiene and
performance reasons, do not re-use the product for another patient. Any serious
incident that occurs in connection with the product must be reported to the manu-
facturer and to the competent authority of the Member State in which the user and/
or patient are/is domiciled.

product must be put on properly for it to function as it should.
