• Model totally open, making it easy to fit.
• Simple-to use system of clip buckles.
• Suspension strap for keeping the orthesis properly fitted to the leg.
• Anatomic knit delivering homogeneous compression.
• Fine and supple knit at the popliteal fossa for maximum comfort.

Fitting:
• For optimum use of the device, we recommend wearing it on the bare skin
(except in the case contraindicated).
• To position the knee brace properly, place the fine knit
fossa, with the leg straight, hold the reinforcing members on either side at
the hinge and do a flexion/extension.
• Wrap the knee brace around the leg, and then close the hook-and-loop
fasteners situated at the top and bottom of the knee brace.
• Then close the straps of the knee brace (see drawing):
- Tighten strap A (suspension strap) situated below the popliteal fossa.
- Clip the buckle of strap B, and then tighten the strap while holding the buckle
lightly.
- Clip and/or tighten straps C, D, E, F, G, and H successively.
If you feel the need to tighten the straps during an activity, make sure you tighten
them following the steps indicated in the fitting instructions.
To make the knee brace more comfortable and improve its hold, the stays can be
shaped.
Flexion/extension control:
The default setting of your Genu Ligaflex ROM is the position in which extension
is limited to 0°. To change this setting, please follow the following instructions, to
be repeated with the same limitation on both hinges. The extensions and flexion
limitations are situated on plastic pieces contained in the box (
Possible extension limitation: 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40°.
Possible flexion limitation: 0, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90°.
Adjusting the extension limitation
1. Choose the desired extension limitation on the corresponding plastic piece (
2. Open the hinge cap by using the latch located at the back: push the latch inwards
and then lift the cap.
3. Remove the extension limitation in place by putting the hinge in slight flexion.
Take good note of the insertion direction in which the limitation is inserted.
4. Insert the new extension limitation. Be watchful to check that the shape of this
piece matches the outline of the cap (
extension position in order to make sure that the extension limitation is in the
right position.
5. Close the cap, and then do a few flexions/extensions to make sure that the
limitation is properly locked at the desired angle.
Adjusting the flexion limitation
1. Choose the desired flexion limitation on the corresponding plastic piece (
2. Open the hinge cap by using the latch located at the back: push the latch inwards
and then lift the cap.
3. Put the hinge into the maximum extension position and insert the desired flexion
limitation (the flexion limitations are placed at the back of the hinge). Make sure
the hole located in the flexion limitation coincides with the hole situated in the
hinge (metal portion,

The setting of the flexion/extension should be defined and adjusted by your
healthcare practitioner. They must make the same adjustment of the angle settings
on the right side and on the left side of the orthesis (in both hinges). Otherwise, the
hinges might be damaged.
