1. Lower muffler – Using an exhaust hanger removal tool, lower muffler by removing (2) rubber hangers from muffler and (1) rubber hanger near rear differential.
NOTE: Use a spray lubricant to ease removal. Typical both sides for models with dual exhaust system. NOTE: Use a ratchet strap or bungee cord to support
exhaust system before removing rubber hangers.
2. Remove heat shield – Using a 10mm socket, remove (4) bolts holding heat
shield to vehicle. Save bolts to re-install heat shield. Typical both sides for
models with dual exhaust system.

3. Remove rubber plugs - using a flat screw driver, remove (3) rubber plugs
from the (3) forward holes in the bottom of the frame. Do not remove the
rearmost rubber plug.
