INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
DECLARATION OF COMPLIANCE
The Manufacturer declares that the appliances are built
in compliance with EEC 90/396 regulations, and re-
quests that installation conform to standards currently in
force, especially regarding air exchange and the system
for discharging products of combustion.
N.B. The Manufacturer declines any responsibility for
direct or indirect damage caused by incorrect installa-
tion, tampering, poor maintenance, erroneous use, and
by any circumstance speci ed in the articles contained
in our sales conditions.
INSTALLING THE UNIT
- All installation operations, transformations for use
with another type of gas, when required, commission-
ing procedures and the elimination of any problems in
any of the systems, must be done solely by quali ed
personnel, in keeping with currently-e ective stan-
dards.
- The gas supply mains, electrical mains and premises
for unit installation must all comply with regulations in
force in the given area. In particular, remember that
the air required for burner combustion in equal to
2 m
/h for every kW of installed power.
3
prevention standards must be respected as well.
SETTING UP THE APPLIANCES
- Remove the unit from its packaging and position it as
required. Level the unit and regulate height using the
adjustable feet or other methods.
- Some parts are protected by a plastic adhesive lm
which must be removed before starting up the appli-
ance. Clean glue residues carefully. (Do not use
abrasive substances).
- If adjacent walls are covered in combustible materi-
als, they must be protected against the heat radiating
from the unit. Use sheets of refractory material, or
position the unit at a distance of at least 100 mm. from
side or rear walls.
EXHAUST SYSTEM
The appliances must be positioned in rooms which have
a suitable system for discharging the products of com-
bustion; such a system must comply with installation
instructions. Our appliances are classi ed (see techni-
cal speci cations chart) as:
- Type B gas appliances
which require connection to a natural air passage for
discharge of the products of combustion. For ex-
ample, the unit may be connected to a ue with a
natural draught of proven e ciency, or may discharge
the products of combustion directly outdoors. The unit
may also be connected to a forced extraction system,
for example a hood equipped with a mechanical
exhaust system.
- If the products of combustion are discharged through
a forced air-extraction system:
- Gas supply to the appliance must be directly con-
nected to the forced air-extraction system; gas supply
must be cut o if the ow rate of the extraction system
drops below the established level. Re-supply of gas
to the appliance is manually controlled.
- If the unit is installed under an exhaust hood, the end
of the discharge ue must be at a distance of at least
1.8 mt. from the oor underneath the appliance. The
section of pipe outlet for the discharge of the products
of combustion must be positioned inside the base
perimeter of the hood itself.
