Battery selection
- Press "Enter ↵" again to select the type
of battery: make a selection by means of
cursors < > from
- REGULAR LIQUID (WET/SLI)
- AGM FLAT PLATE
- AGM SPIRAL
- GEL
Confirm the selection with "Enter ↵".
Reference standard selection
- Use cursors < > to select the reference
standard
adopted
manufacturer (EN, JIS, DIN, IEC, SAE).
The code relating to the standard is
usually marked on the battery itself.
Press "Enter ↵ " to confirm.
Selection of CCA
- Use cursors < > to set the CCA
value specified on the battery by the
manufacturer.
NOTE:
CCA = Cold Cranking Amps, is the start-
up cold current.
The CCA value is stated in Amps by the
manufacturer and is usually marked on
the battery itself: e.g. 520A (EN).
Testing the battery
- Press "Enter ↵" to begin the test: caption
"TESTING" is displayed.
- The device could enquire whether the
battery was charged or not: select the
correct response by means of cursors <
> and press "Enter ↵".
- Once the test has been completed,
the display shows the battery's current
voltage in volts (V) and the effective
CCA current in amps (A) as well as the
outcome of the test itself.
- Press the cursors to display the
Efficiency State (SOH) and the Charge
State (SOC).
Test's outcome
The display shows:
- GOOD & PASS: the battery is good and
charged.
- GOOD & RECHARGE.: the battery is
good but needs recharging.
- RECHARGE & RETEST: the battery is
discharged and the conditions cannot
be defined. Recharge and try the battery
again.
- BAD & REPLACE: the battery is unable
to maintain the charge and has to be
replaced.
- BAD CELL & REPLACE: at least one
cell of the battery is short-circuited: it
must be replaced.
- LOAD ERROR: the tested battery
by
the
battery
exceeds 2000A (CCA). Or the clamps
are incorrectly connected.
- Press "Enter ↵".
Printing the Test
Press cursors < > to select YES or NO
"PRINT RESULT?". Press "Enter ↵" to
confirm.
Disconnect the clamps at the end of the
test.
Replacing the paper (Fig. B)
- Connect the clamps to the battery to be
tested (Fig. B-1)
- Lift the transparent cover (Fig. B-2)
- Insert the paper in the lower part of the
rubber roller (Fig. B-3)
- Close the transparent cover again.

veicoli, leggere, conservare, rispettare
scrupolosamente le avvertenze fornite
dai costruttori dei veicoli stessi; lo
stesso vale per le indicazioni fornite dal
costruttore di batterie.
- Tenere
lontano
bambini.
- Proteggere gli occhi. Indossare sempre
occhiali protettivi quando si lavora con
accumulatori al piombo acido.
