Cleaning the appliance

Before using the appliance and accessory parts for the
first time, clean them thoroughly with lukewarm soapy
water.

Heating the grill

1 Remove the lava stones from the film and place
them in the lava stone tray.
2 Fold both grill elements downwards. The grill
elements must lie flat.
3 Place the wire rack on top and heat the grill for a
few minutes at grill setting 12. This will get rid of
the new-appliance smell and any contamination.
