General notes
Pressure build-up regulators are high-quality fittings that must be grounded with
particular care. The sealing surfaces on the seal and valve seat are precision
machined in order to achieve the necessary tightness. The ingress of foreign bodies
into the valve must be avoided during assembly and operation. The valves must be
stored in the condition in which they are delivered, i.e. free of oil, grease and dirt,
and in a dry place.
The tightness of a pressure build-up regulator can be impaired by hemp, PTFE tape
or other sealants, as well as by welding beads, etc.
Rough handling of finished pressure build-up regulators during storage, transport
and assembly can damage a regulator and cause it to leak. If pressure build-up
regulators are painted, ensure that the sliding parts do not come into contact with
the paint.
The customer must take the following points into consideration when planning and
designing pressure build-up regulators:
• The pressure build-up regulator is mainly used for static pressure loads
• The pressures specified in the data sheet refer to static loads. For dynamic and
alternating loads, appropriate pressure reductions must be observed
• The selected materials and sealing materials must be
suitable for the application.
• The connections of the pipe or the connection pieces must have at least the same
pressure rating as the connections of the pressure build-up regulator, and also be
of the same type.
Transport and storage conditions
• Protect the fitting from external influences, e.g. dirt, moisture, impact, blows or
vibrations. Transport the fitting only in the supplied packaging. Only remove the
plastic bags and protective caps immediately before assembly.
• Store the fitting in a dry and dirt-free location; in damp storage rooms, prevent the
formation of condensation by using desiccants or heating.
• Maintain transport and storage temperatures between -20°C and 65°C.

Technical data
Refer to the manufacturer's data sheets for details on the scope of application of
the individual versions.
When used for oxygen as a medium, the operating temperature must not exceed
60°C and the operating pressure 30 bar.
