when installing hitch
Remove fascia - a. using a T15 torx bit, remove (4) plastic screws and clips from bottom of fascia.

b. using a T25 torx bit, remove (1) screw from each side of bottom fascia wheel well area, and remove (3) screws from rearward of wheel well liner, (3) per side.
c. using a T25 torx bit, remove (1) screw located vertically behind wheel well liner, (1) per side.
d. open tailgate. Open the taillight access panel behind taillight, both sides. Disconnect the wire harness from the taillight housing and unscrew (1) plastic spring-bolt holding
taillight, both sides.
e. remove the taillights by gently pulling rearward and set aside.
f. using a trim panel tool, remove the fascia starting at the outer edges near wheel wells while gently pulling rearward on the fascia. Disconnect the wiring harness from fascia and
set fascia aside.
Remove blind spot sensors – using a 13mm socket, remove the (2) outer bolts holding the bumper beam and sensor on driver's side. Using a 10mm open end wrench, remove the

hex nut behind the sensor wiring harness, both sides. Using a 10mm socket, remove the (2) hex nuts holding sensor on the passenger's side.
Remove bumper beam – using a 13mm socket, remove the remaining (5) bolts holding the bumper beam to the end panel and set aside. Save (2) hex nuts to reattach the blind spot

sensors, (1) per side. Return remaining fasteners to vehicle owner.
Install Hitch and bumper beam – Raise hitch and bumper beam onto vehicle aligning holes with existing weldnuts in end panel. Install the blind spot detector on the driver's side on

top of bumper beam. Loosely install the supplied (7) M8 bolts, lock washers, and flat washers. See Figure 1.

Tighten all M8 CL8.8 fasteners with torque wrench to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N*M)
Install blind spot sensors – on the passenger's side, reinstall the blind spot sensor using (1) existing hex nut onto stud on end panel and secure to bumper beam using (2) cable ties

as shown in Figure 3. On the driver's side, install (1) existing hex nut onto stud on end panel. Tighten hex nuts until snug.
Trim fascia - using a tape measure, marker, and utility knife, cut a notch in the bottom of fascia approximately 2-1/2'' tall by 3-1/2" wide area. See Figure 2.

Reinstall fascia, taillights, and wiring using the original hardware removed in step 1. Be sure to reconnect wiring to taillights.

Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which
has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety
specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
