Intended Use

The ReliOn™ Confirm Blood Glucose Monitoring System is intended for the
quantitative measurement of glucose in fresh capillary whole blood samples
drawn from the fingertip or palm. Testing is done outside the body (In Vitro
diagnostic use). It is indicated for use at home by persons with diabetes as
an aid to monitor the effectiveness of diabetes control. It is not intended
for the diagnosis of or screening for Diabetes Mellitus, and is not intended
for use on neonates. It is intended for single patient use and should not be
shared with other individuals.
Important Safety Instructions
WARNING:
• The meter and lancing device are for single patient use. Do not share
them with anyone including other family members! Do not use on
multiple patients!
• All parts of the kit are considered biohazardous and can potentially
transmit infectious diseases, even after you have performed cleaning and
disinfection.¹
