1.
Strip the individual wires and crimp a ring terminal lug (for M4 or #8 stud)
onto the earth-lead ground conductor.
2.
Locate the terminal block on the back of the rotary AC power switch and
connect the AC main wires to the front (Figure 4).
3.
Connect the Line wire (typically brown or black) to terminal #5 (A) and the
Neutral wire (typically blue or white) to terminal #4 (B) on the front of the
terminal block.

4.
Attach and secure the AC mains earth ground wire and power supply
chassis ground wire to the grounding lug.
5.
Attach the power supply chassis ground wire.
6.
Secure both wires to the grounding lug with an M4 nut.
7.
Replace and secure the electronics cover, then close and latch the door.
Step 6
Connect the sample inlet and outlet ports.
Disable the the water fl ow to the instrument until the sample inlet system is
completely installed and the Analyzer is ready to begin analysis.
To confi gure the sample inlet and outlet ports:
1.
Connect the 1/4" Tefl on® tubing with the in-line fi lter to the sample inlet
on the iOS or Super iOS system or the Sample Inlet Block, depending on
the Analyzer's confi guration. Tighten 1/4 turn past fi nger-tight with a 9/16"
open-end wrench. Do not over-tighten the nut.
2.
Connect the 3/4" OD waste line tubing to the waste outlet on the sample
inlet system or the Sample Inlet Block by sliding the tubing over the barb
fi tting.
3.
Place the hose clamp over the waste line and tighten.
4.
Route the waste tubing to an appropriate waste outlet below the level of
the waste outlet barb.
5.
After establishing water fl ow to the sample inlet system, adjust fl ow out of
the waste line to 50-300 mL/min.
Step 7
Install the DI water system—Instrument Start Up Wizard.
Use the Analyzer's touch screen panel to access the Instrument Start Up Wizard
(Maintenance screen > Hardware tab). This Wizard guides the user with step-
by-step instructions and photos through fi lling the DI water reservoir, priming the
DI Loop, and rinsing down the measurement module.
