Use
Attention! Make sure that the funnel, sieve and gasket are properly inserted and the coffee maker is firmly
closed before placing it on the base plate.
1. Place the base plate of the coffee maker on a suitable surface (not on a metal surface, not on
fabrics, etc.). Unscrew the coffee maker by holding the lower part and turn the upper part
counterclockwise. Remove the funnel.
2. Fill the lower part of the coffee maker with water to a maximum below the safety valve.
MAX.
Attention! The safety valve must not be under water.
3. Reinsert the filter. Fill it with not too finely ground espresso powder. Do not press the powder firmly
down, just smooth it out! Clean the edge of the screw thread of excess espresso powder.
4. Make sure the sieve and gasket are properly inserted in the upper part of the coffee maker. Place
the upper part straight on the lower part, so that they do not jam and turn both parts tightly together.
5. Connect the power plug of the base plate to the power supply, place the coffee maker on the
base plate and switch it on. After a few minutes the espresso rises into the jug, accompanied by
slight steam build-up and bubbling. As soon as this sound stops the espresso is finished.
The coffee maker features an integrated warming function, however the appliance switches off
as soon as you remove the coffee maker from the base plate. After use always pull the plug from
the socket and allow the appliance to cool down.
6. We recommend that you stir the espresso briefly with a spoon before pouring.
7. For best results serve your espresso in preheated cups.
