Introduction
Purpose of the operating instructions
The operating instructions contain important infor-
mation that will enable you to operate your Mondo
safely, correctly and economically. By paying at-
tention to the instructions, you will help to prevent
accidents, reduce repair costs and outage times,
and increase the service lifetime and reliability of
your Mondo. The operating instructions are inclu-
ded in the scope of delivery for the machine.

1.1 Safety information and warnings

Please note the following terms that are used in
safety information and warnings in these operating
instructions:
Danger
Immediate danger which results in severe injury to
people, or death.
Warning
Danger or unsafe action which results in severe
injury to people, or death.
Caution
Means that minor injuries to people or damage to
property may occur.
Attention
Means that material damage may occur.
Note
Indicates information that will enable you to use
the machine in an efficient and technically correct
way.

1.2 Use in accordance with the specified purpose
• Use in agriculture, gardening, maintenance of
green areas and parks, and for winter road
clearance. To drive ancillary equipment.
• Any use which goes beyond the foregoing is
deemed to be ‘use other than in accordance
with the specified purpose’. The manufacturer
shall not be liable for any loss or damage en-
suing therefrom. The risk in respect of such
damage and loss shall be borne solely by the
user.
• Use in accordance with the specified purpose
shall also include compliance with the opera-
tion, servicing and maintenance conditions sti-
pulated by the manufacturer.
• The machine must only be used, serviced and
repaired by persons who are familiar with such
work and who have been instructed about the
dangers.
• The owner guarantees that the machine and
ancillary equipment will be used in accordance
with the specified purpose and that they shall
be in safe operating condition.
• The owner shall inform Rapid as soon as any
safety defects become apparent on the machi-
ne or the ancillary equipment.
• Complex work on the machine must be under-
taken exclusively by an authorised Rapid ser-
vice centre.
• If any changes to the structural design are ma-
de, or if any ancillary equipment which Rapid
has not released is built onto it, this shall cau-
se the immediate loss of the guarantee claim.
• The relevant accident prevention regulations
and the generally recognised safety rules must
be followed.
• Only use original Rapid spare parts.
