Prevention of frost damage
When the domestic water system is drained,
thermostat mixers must be drained separately, since
non-return valves are installed in the hot and cold
water connections. For this purpose, the mixer must
be removed from the wall.
Maintenance
Inspect and clean all parts, replace if necessary and
grease with special valve grease.
Shut off cold and hot water supplies.
I. Non-return valve, see fold-out page I and II.
1. Disassemble mixer in reverse order, see fold-out
page I, fig. [1] and [2] and text Installation.
2. Remove seal (L1) and dirt strainer (L2), see fold-out
page II.
3. With a 12mm hexagon socket spanner, remove
union nipple (M) by turning clockwise (left-hand
thread).
4. Remove non-return valve (N).
Reassemble in reverse order.
II. Thermostatic cartridge, see fold-out page III,
Abb. [6].
1. Pull off knob (D).
2. Unscrew screw (E) and pull off snap insert (F).
3. Pull off temperature control handle (G).
4. Remove clip (P1).
5. Pull off stop ring (P).
6. Remove adjusting nut (H) with overload unit (H1).
7. With a 22mm open-ended spanner, unscrew and
remove thermoelement (R).
Reassemble in reverse order.
The overload unit (H1) (left-hand thread) must be
screwed as far as possible in the adjusting nut (H).
Observe the correct installation position of the
stop ring (P).
Readjustment is necessary after every maintenance
operation on the thermostatic cartridge (see
Adjustment).
III. Aquadimmer, see fig. [5].
1. Pull off knob (S).
2. Unscrew screw (T) and pull off snap insert (U).
3. Remove shut-off knob (K).
4. Remove splined adapter (V) and stop (W).
5. With a 19mm open-ended spanner, unscrew and
remove aquadimmer (X).
Reassemble in reverse order.
Observe the correct installation position, see
fig. [5] and [7].
1. The various pins (Y) and (Y1) must project into the
relevant apertures in the race, see fig. [7].
2. Fit stop (W) so that the arrow coincides with the
mark on the mixer body, see fig. [5].
3. Fit splined adapter (V). The faces (X1) coincide in
only one position.
4. Fit shut-off knob (K) so that the button (K1)
coincides with the mark on the mixer body.
5. Fit snap insert (U) with screw (T) and fit knob (S).
IV. Unscrew and clean Aerator (13 927) see fold-out
page II.
Reassemble in reverse order.
