Use
Fitting the full face mask
 Check the full face mask in order to ensure that the
adjustable strap is fastened securely, that the inner
mask and the exhalation valve cover and all the
remaining parts are in good condition.
 Where necessary, place the spectacle frame in the
desired position.
 Fully open the harness.
 Stretch apart the harness and
place your chin in the cavity and
fit the harness over the head.
Make sure that the harness lies
flat on your head.
 Make sure that your hair and the
harness do not impair the
sealing frame; and that the sealing frame is adjusted to
the contours of the face.
 First, adjust the neck straps
followed by the temple straps in
such way that the centre of the
harness is lined up with the
centre of the head.
 If necessary, adjust the front
strap. Breath normally.
The air should flow smoothly
through the exhalation valve.
 Leak test:
— Cover the mask connector and inhale to create a
vacuum.
— Hold your breath for a short period. The vacuum
should be maintained. If this does not occur, the
adjustable strap must be readjusted.
— The leak test must be repeated twice.
WARNING
The mask may only be used when it is adjusted correctly, if
not there is the risk of intoxication!
 Exhalation valve test:
— Cover the mask connector and exhale strongly.
The exhaled air must be expelled without
blockages, if not consult see "Visual Inspection of
the exhalation valve" on Page 5.

Operation with respiratory filters
Requirements

Belgium and the UK), the ambient air must have a
minimum oxygen content of 17 %;
in Brazil it must have an oxygen content of 18 %.
For other countries, observe the national guidelines!
— Observe the national directives on handling respiratory
protection equipment (e.g. in Brazil the Respiratory
Protection Program and NBR 13696, NBR 13697 and
NBR 13694 standards).
— All types of noxious substances must be known before
handling; use the appropriate respiratory filter
case that noxious substances are not known, only use
the compressed-air breathing apparatus and air line
systems.
Do not enter rooms, tanks, channels etc. that are not
ventilated when using filter equipment.
Filter equipment may only be used if the air does not
present an immediate danger to your life or health.
Screwing in the respiratory filter
 Remove the seal completely and tighten the
respiratory filter in a clockwise direction.
Duration of use
The duration of use depends on the type and concentration
of noxious substances and the type of filter, among other
things.
