Maintenance and Care
After using 50 times, carry out the following at least once per year:
• Grease the piston washer
• Clean nozzle and nozzle insert under running water
• Grease O-rings on a regular basis.
• In many countries, compression sprayer operators are legally obliged to perform or have
performed various checks on the device throughout its lifespan.
These national regulations must be observed.
Tests:
External and internal test
at least every 2 years
Strength test
at least every 5 years

Fault
Pressure will not build up in
the tank.
Liquid escapes through the
Pump.
Pressure present, but nozzle
will not spray.
The nozzle produces a jet,
not an atomizing cone.
Discharge valve will not
close.
The liquid escapes before
the lever is squeezed.

Solution
Tighten pump or screw cap.
Replace or grease O-ring.
Replace piston washer
Clean or replace valve disc
Place nozzle insert into the
nozzle.
Grease O-rings on pressure
pin with lubricant
(Fig. 27).
Replace pressure pin.
