6. There will be a black connector on the vehicle
wiring harness similar to those found on the
T-Connector harness. Slide the red connector lock
aside and disconnect the vehicle harness from the
tail light assembly taking care not to damage the
locking tab (Fig. 4A).
7. Beginning on the left (drivers) side, Plug the
matching T-Connector harness end with the yellow
wire between the tail light assembly and the
vehicle connector removed in step 6. Secure the
connectors together with the red locking tabs.
8. From the Driver's side, route the T-Connector
harness end containing the Green wire and the
4-Flat Connector out through the hole between
the vehicle's bumper and body (Fig. 2B).
Route the T-Connector end to the passenger
side and the 4-flat connector underneath the
bumper. Continue routing the T-Connector end
up through the opening on the passenger side,
taking care to avoid sharp edges that could
damage the wires. Repeat step 7 using this connector and the
passenger side vehicle harness.
9. Position the left (drivers) side rubber grommet over the
T-Connector harness and carefully
position all the wiring inside the
vehicle behind the grommet. Seat the
grommet into its mounting hole.
10. Repeat step 9 for the right
(passenger) side of the vehicle.
11. Confirm correct operation with a
