This illustration shows two battery units connected in series. Assemble as illustrated.
Ensure the two battery units

are in the same direction. The total voltage of series
connected battery units is equal to the sum of the sub-voltages (6V in this example).
One 3V battery set is not sufficient to operate both the lamp
