to provide protection against lofted stones towards the chest area. All protector plates
provide a limited protection only in areas covered by the plates. They can arch both
forward and backward to simulate and support natural movement. These backwards
movements prevent the direct transmission of force onto the edge of the protector.
LIMITATION OF USE
BACK PROTECTOR | ELBOW AND SHOULDER (LIMB JOINT, HIP...)
These protectors do not safeguard against traumas caused by twisting, torsion or
extreme movements. They provide this mentioned limited protection only in areas cov-
ered by the plastic plates. SCOTT Sports SA shall not accept any complaints arising
from the use of products where the pads and the protection plates are not applied.
STONE SHIELD (PLACED IN THE FRONT/OVER THE BREAST PROTECTOR)
Stone shields offer protection only against lofted stones and debris. It does not provide
protection against impacts in case of fall.
MISUSES
Bending or twisting the protector excessively is considered improper use and it may
cause the loss of protection properties or breakage of the gear.
We recommend that the protector is not left outside or exposed to high or low tem-
peratures before use. During use the protector temperature must not drop below
-20°C. Changes in environmental conditions such as temperature and wetness could
significantly reduce the performance of the protector. Product modifications may cause
the loss of protection and therefore, they are considered as improper use. Any contami-
nation, alteration to the protector or misuse could dangerously reduce the performance
of the protector. Never tamper with any part of the back protectors. Do not paint the
back protector nor use colorants of any nature. SCOTT Sports SA shall not accept com-
plaints or replace protectors that have been used improperly.
• V. WARNING
No protector (back, limb, stoneshield) can offer full protection against injury. Any con-
tamination, alteration to the protectors or misuse could dangerously reduce the perfor-
mance of the protectors.
Spinal injuries will not be prevented by a back protector.
• VI. INFO ON PRODUCT
CARE INSTRUCTION AND MATERIAL CONTENT
This product contains no known harmful substances: it is not known to undergo alter-
ation from contact with sweat or with substances likely to be found in toiletries and
is not known to cause any harm to human skin and body. The product does not con-
tain any hazardous substances. Find detailed material on the care label on your gar-
ment itself.
