The maximum setting (the highest number) corresponds to the lowest temperature,
the coldest setting.
• Initially, set the thermostat to position "5" for normal, everyday use.
• Do not open the appliance doors for the first 30 minutes. We recommend
leaving the refrigerator running empty for about 1 to 2 hours (depending on the
room temperature).
• To use the freezer compartment when the appliance is initially switched on or after
it has been switched off for a prolonged period of time, set the thermostat to the
maximum position (highest number) for about 2 hours before placing frozen or
deep-frozen products in the freezer compartment. Then turn the thermostat back
to its usual position.
• The temperature inside the appliance is a function of several factors, such as the
room temperature, the quantity of food stored, how often the door is opened, etc.
NOTE: When the thermostat is in the maximum position (highest number), you may
hear the compressor run more regularly.

To help you set your appliance correctly, the refrigerator is equipped
with a temperature indicator (located in the coldest zone and indicated
by the pictogram opposite).
• For proper food storage in your refrigerator and in particular in the coldest zone,
make sure that "OK" appears in the temperature indicator.

• If "OK" does not appear, the average temperature of the zone is too high. Set the
thermostat to a higher position.
• Whenever you adjust the thermostat, wait for the temperature inside the
appliance to stabilise before adjusting it again, if necessary. Only change the
position of the thermostat gradually and wait at least 12 hours before checking
again and possibly changing it.
NOTE: After loading the appliance with fresh food or after opening the door repeatedly
(or leaving it open for a prolonged period), it is normal if the word "OK" does not appear
in the temperature indicator; Wait at least 12 hours before readjusting the thermostat.
