Panic locking systems according to
EN 1125:2008
Panic door locks in accordance with EN
1125:2008 (= lock + keep + panic bar) are to be
applied in accordance with the standard where-
ver a high level of public access is expected and
where panic situations could arise due to public
unfamiliarity with the layout. This applies to all
public areas where the general public gather,
theatres, cinemas, discos, schools and hospitals.
1.3 Intended Use
The emergency exit / panic locking systems and the Winkhaus components re-
commended are suited for the following areas of application:
• relative air humidity of max. 95%
• ambient temperature of between -20 ... +60°C.
The complete fitting is designed to be used in conjunction only with the genuine
Winkhaus parts. Other parts which are not recommended by Winkhaus can ad-
versely affect the default properties of this locking system.
It is assumed that the lock will be used as intended.
The proper functions of the access control systems and of the accessory equip-
ment included in the scope of delivery of the Winkhaus company have been
tested. If you use components made by other companies and if you have any
doubts about the suitability of these components, you will have to contact the
respective manufacturer about their suitability for use.
