Commissioning

1. Turn on the power supply or install the battery box (see "Installing the
battery box", page 40).
 Start sequence begins.
Green LED flashes.
 Warm-up phase 1 begins.
Measured value status is "Bad" (substatus warm-up phase 1) and yellow
LED flashes, blue LED flashes (Bluetooth is available).
 Warning signal is output.
Green and yellow LEDs flash.
2. Integrate the gas detector into the network (see "Network integration",
page 41).
3. Wait for warm-up phase 1 and 2.
The duration of the warm-up phase depends on the sensor used (see
sensor data sheet).
Settings with PolySoft can already be made.
 At the end of warm-up phase 1, the measured value is available, the
measured value status is "Good" and the yellow LED is off.
4. Calibrate the gas detector (see "Calibration", page 42) as soon as warm-up
phase 2 is completed.
5. Test the signal chain by applying target gas to the sensor.

Network integration

8.1
Network integration
For network integration, also pay attention to the documentation of the Access
Point and System Manager used.
For a Yokogawa infrastructure, the creation of a YPIF file (consignment file) is
supported by PolySoft.
See technical manual "Wireless Communication ISA100-Wireless
91 00 000, download at www.draeger.com/ifu) for information on:

Signal transmission to the controller

Recommended Publication Rate: 1 x every 10 seconds (Yokogawa
Management Station)
If there is no sample gas, the gas detector only outputs data every other time
window (power-save mode). If sample gas is present in sufficient concentration,
all time windows are used.
8.3
ISA100 Wireless
The gas detector outputs ISA100 Wireless
process values (PV) and diagnosis status (DIAG_STATUS) and PROFIsafe
data.
For further information see: "Troubleshooting", page 43.
8.4

Repeater feature

The feature can be enabled or disabled as part of the network integration. For
gas detector energy optimization, disabling the feature is recommended when
there is no need for it due to the network topology.

Special states

In a special state, correct measurement or alarm activation is not guaranteed.
Special states are as follows:
Gas concentration outside measuring range
Error
Calibration
Bump test
Warm-up phase
