OPENING THE POT
The pot can be opened at any time without danger.
1. Gently press the lid downward onto the pot using the lid handle.
2. First open only one locking handle by sliding it outwards. Briefly allow some steam to escape, and then open the second locking handle by sliding
it outwards.
3. Then take the lid off.
Note:
• The more often the pot is opened, the lower the energy savings.
• If the pot remains closed for a long time after cooking, the cooling process will create a slight vacuum inside, which can make the pot difficult to
open. Proceed as follows:
1. Use a pot holder, as the valve is very hot.
2. Use the pot holder to wiggle the red pin on the steam valve a little. This will allow air to flow into the pot, and the lid can be opened more easily.
USING THE FRYING AND PASTA BASKET & STEAMER INSERT (OPTIONALLY AVAILABLE)
FRYING AND PASTA BASKET: Fold the handle outwards. Fill the pot with oil suitable for frying, and heat it up. As soon as the oil is hot, insert the
frying basket, pre-filled with the food to be fried. Do not fill the pot with too much oil, otherwise it may spill over when you insert the frying basket.
WARNING: The handle of the frying basket gets hot! Be sure to use a pot holder or oven glove to remove it! Only deep-fry in an open pot without a lid!
Steamer insert: Put the steamer insert into the pot and fill it with a little water so that your food can be steamed (see Recipe Booklet).
CLEANING
Cleaning the pot | Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents, as these may damage the non-stick coating.
We always recommend cleaning immediately after use, so that no food residues are allowed to dry out.
1. Rinse all parts with warm water and a mild detergent.
2. Rinse off with clean water.
3. Dry thoroughly with a soft dish cloth.
4. If the steam valve is heavily soiled, it can be loosened, cleaned and re-fitted with a suitable wrench.
Note:
• The pot and the lid are dishwasher-safe, but to extend the service life we recommend cleaning by hand with a mild detergent and warm water.
• The sealing ring is NOT dishwasher-safe, and will quickly harden if placed in a dishwasher. Therefore, the sealing ring must be removed before
cleaning in the dishwasher.
• Soak dried-on food residues or heavy soiling in warm water for a while before cleaning.
• If necessary, stubborn dirt can be removed with a wooden spatula and a little stove cleaner.
• We recommend replacing the sealing ring once a year. To do this, contact our customer service (contact details on the back).
STORAGE
• Do not store in the sealed state; this could lead to condensation and the formation of odours.
• Do not press or deform the sealing ring during storage. Place the sealing ring back into the lid for storage.
• If the handle screws have loosened, tighten them with a suitable screwdriver
