4.1.2 Connection to the supply circuit
CAUTION!
•
Before connecting the tool to the air supply network, check that the pipe and fittings are free from impuri-
ties.
•
Use a pipe with an 8 mm diameter with a maximum length of 50 m to correctly supply the chain pruner.
Carry out the following operations in order:
Connect the tool to the air supply network by means of the fitting (13).
Adjust operating pression on the compressor to 10 bar.
Adjust air lubrication on the compressor (Min. 3/4 drops/min)
4.1.3 Chain lubrication
NOTE
The tool is not supplied with the oil tank for chain lubrication, it is fitted with an automatic system
that recovers oil delivered upstream of the compressor by means of its lubricator. The chain is lubricated by
means of the discharge air of the pneumatic motor.
Before use check the compressor or the compressed air supply network for:
-
presence of oil in the container of the lubricator and top up if necessary,
-
that the amount of oil delivered by the lubricator is at least one drop every 3-4 seconds.
CAUTION!
Never use the tool without or with a low amount of oil.
Lack of lubrication may cause seizing of the chain (2).
If the chain is operated without oil, the chain and the bar will wear rapidly and the service life of the tool will
be reduced.
CAUTION!
Do not use old or recycled oil. Only use biodegradable oil for the chain.
4.1.4 Mounting the tool on the extension pole
CAUTION!
The tool must only be used with extension poles (fixed or telescopic), fitted with a control handle with an accidental start-
up protection system.
CAUTION!
Do not use the tool with extension poles only fitted with a tap.
CAUTION!
Put on heavy-duty gloves before assembling the extension.
Perform the following operations to mount the extension pole on the tool:
1.
Screw the extension pole all the way on the connection (3) placed on the motor body
2.
Screw the handle (11) on the pole.
CAUTION!
Make sure that the extendable part of the pole is locked before starting the tool mounted on the telescopic
pole. Locking is obtained when the lever is in the position shown in Figure A.
