Use
•
Use the tool just for the purposes indicated in ch. "Product description". Any other kind of use may cause injuries.
•
Always check that the safety devices are perfectly efficient.
•
Never use the tool if it is damaged, wrongly regulated or only partially assembled.
•
Always wear goggles or a visor, safety shoes, anti-vibration gloves and a noise-abatement headset (picture A).
•
The working position must be stable and safe.
•
Do not leave the tool in the rain. Keep it in a dry place.
•
Do not carry the tool by the power supply cable.
•
The same operator shall not use the tool for a prolonged time. Two operators shall alternate working for one hour
and then having a one-hour's break. A prolonged use could be excessively tiring.
•
When the tool is not used, select the OFF mode with the ON/OFF switch.
Maintenance
WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance operations or adjustments on the mechanical parts of the equipment, put
on heavy-duty work shoes, protective gloves and goggles.
•
Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by an operator with the necessary physical and intellectual
qualifications, as defined by the employer.
•
Special maintenance (such as disassembling the gear motor or the main board) and repairs can be carried out only
by a qualified mechanic.
•
Before any maintenance or adjustment operations, disconnect the tool from its battery
•
Keep bystanders at least 2 meters away, when servicing or repairing the machine.
•
Only qualified mechanics are authorised to inactivate the tool safety devices, if any, when special maintenance is
to be performed. It is their responsibility to safeguard the operators and the machine and to re-activate the safety
devices as soon as maintenance work has been completed.
•
All maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual are to be performed at CAMPAGNOLA Authorised Service
Points.
•
When maintenance or repairs have been completed, the machine can be started again only if duly authorised by the
qualified mechanic. The service mechanic must make sure:
-
work has been completed;
-
the machine runs in a trouble-free manner;
-
the safety devices are activated;
-
no one is working on the machine.
Product identification
A identification plate / label is applied to each machine / tool (Picture 1).
Model, serial number and year of manufacture are shown on the Manufacturer's plate. The plate is applied on the
machine / tool and shows the following data and symbols:
1) Company name and full address of the Manufacturer / Constructor.
2) Mandatory prescription for all personnel being responsible for the use and / or maintenance of the machine /
tool as per the corresponding use and maintenance manual.
3) Machine / tool designation.
4) Type of machine / tool - Designation of the type / code of the machine / tool.
5) Year of construction, i.e. the year in which the manufacturing process was completed.
