Control valve
The pump develops oil pressure as soon as the motor runs. Any pressure developed is released to the
tank if the valve is in its "release" position. Only if the control valve is in its "operation" position the oil
flows to the tool and pressure to the tool develops. The table shows the properties per valve type. For
detailed information, refer to the manual "Industrial control valves" and the manual(s) of the tool(s)
connected to the pump.

The industrial control valve is an assembly that controls the oil flow and pressure between the pump
and the tool being used. Industrial control valves are available in two versions; for single-acting tools
and double-acting tools. The M304 industrial control valve enbles you to switch between single-acting
tools and double-acting tools.
Caution
Observe the working principle of the tool being used. Only connect a single-acting tool to a
valve for single-acting tools and a double-acting tool to a valve for double-acting tools.
The M304 enables you to connect both types of tools: put its switch in the correct position.
