using the appliance
!
•
Never use the deep fryer when the tank is empty. Always make sure that the tank is full
enough before switching the appliance on. Failing to do so could harm the appliance.
•
Never use a liquid other than oil intended for food cooking.
•
Never put your hands over the filters or inspection window. The steam and inspection
window glass get burning hot.
Filling the tank
1.
Fill the tank with oil, making sure the level remains between the 'MIN' and 'MAX' marks on the tank
wall. The heating element must be fully immersed in oil.
Choice of frying oil:
•
We advise against using butter, margarine, olive oil or animal fat. Rather opt for a special
frying oil such as peanut oil, vegetable oil or rapeseed oil.
•
This deep fryer is not intended to be used with solid fats, which could contain water.
During frying, this type of fat could cause splashes which could lead to the risk of burns.
!
•
Never mix different types of oil.
•
The oil level in the tank must remain between the 'MIN' and 'MAX' marks indicated
on the inside of the tank wall.

2.
Rub the inside of the window with cold cooking oil or fat (depending on what you are using) to avoid
condensation forming, and to be able to view the food during cooking.
3.
Place the lid back onto the appliance, by matching the notches on the lid with the control panel at
the back and the handle of the basket(s) at the front of the appliance.
Cooking information
•
On first use, the oil tank and the basket(s) may emit a slight odour: this is normal and will not continue.
•
You can check cooking through the inspection window.
Add salt and pepper to the fried food outside the deep fryer in order not to contaminate the fat.

The oil needs to be preheated before you start frying the ingredients. Proper preheating will allow
you to make crispy, golden brown chips. The preheating time depends on the selected temperature.
The preheating is complete when the GREEN indicator light to the right of the control panel
switches off.
5.
- Set the timer switch to the "ON" position so that
the deep fryer operates continuously, or
- If you like, you could also set the timer switch
to the desired operating time (between 0 and
30 minutes).
