MAINTENANCE PROCESSES

Adjusting the chain tension

The chain must be given special attention because the life of the sproc-
ket assembly, crown wheel and the chain itself depends on its good
maintenance.
The test area (A) of the chain tension is at the midpoint between the front

WARNING
The chain slack should be between 10 and 15mm (A).
This adjustment must be made on both sides of the wheel:

- Loosen the adjuster nuts (2).
- Tighten or loosen the adjusting screws (3).
- To tighten the chain: tighten the screw.
- To loosen the chain: loosen the screw.
- Set the position with the nuts (2).
- Check the correct wheel alignment.
