• Carefully remove the upper frame half. Fig. 9.
• Carefully pry the top part of the mask off the visor,
and remove the visor from the lower groove. Fig.
10,11. Take this opportunity to clean the groove, if
necessary.
• Markings are made to show the centres of the visor,
frame halves and mask. Fig. 12. Press the new visor
into the groove, making sure that the centre markings
are in line. To make assembly easier, coat the slot
with a soap solution or similar liquid.
• Carefully prise the top half of the facepiece over the
visor, and make sure that the visor is in the groove
in the facepiece. Fig. 10.
• Prise the upper frame half, making sure that the
centre markings are in line. Fig. 12.
• Fit the screws and tighten them alternately until the
two halves of the frame are firmly in contact. Fig. 8.
• Perform a fit check.
B. To change the inhalation membranes (three)
• One membrane is in the centre of the inner mask on
a fixed dowel.
Prise off the membrane and fit a new membrane.

• Two membranes are fitted, i.e. one on each inside
of the inner mask. The dowels for these membranes
are removable and should be changed whenever the
membranes are changed.
• Prise off the membranes and dowels.
• Prise the new membranes onto the dowels. Fig. 14.
• The membranes should rest on the larger
flange, i.e. thread the dowel with the mem-
brane from the inside of the facepiece, through
the valve seat, with the smaller flange first.

C. To change the exhalation membranes (two)
The exhalation membranes are mounted on a fixed
dowel on the inside of the valve covers on each side
of the outer facepiece. The covers should be changed
whenever the membranes are changed.
• Snap the valve covers off the valve seats. Fig. 16.
• Prise off the membranes. Fig. 17.
• Press the new membranes onto the dowels. Carefully
check that the membranes are in contact with the
valve seats all round.
• Press the valve covers into place. A clicking sound
indicates that the cover has snapped into place.
• Perform a fit check.
D. To change the head harness
The head harness can be ordered as a spare part only
as a complete harness.

• Snap the strap holders of the head harness off the
facepiece strap mountings. Fig. 18, 19.
• Check that the straps are not twisted and fit the new
head harness.
VIII Warranty
Supplier warrants to each purchaser of a Product who
is an end-user of such Product that the product is free
from defects in material and workmanship, ordinary
wear and tear excepted, for one year from date of
purchase by such end-user. Further, Supplier warrants
that the Product conforms to the NIOSH standards in
effect on that date of sale. Supplier's sole obligation,
and each end-users sole and exclusive remedy under
this warranty, shall be limited to replacement of any
Product covered by this warranty which proves in viola-
tion of such warranty during the period of effectiveness
thereof. The warranty shall not apply to any Product
which has been altered, misused, subjected to an ac-
cident, used contrary to Supplier's specifications and
recommendations or used beyond it's useful life or to
any Product whose packaging has been altered or
opened prior to purchase by the end-user. Supplier
makes no representations or warranties concerning
the application or effect of any international, federal,
state or local laws, ordinances, rules or regulations
which may now or hereafter pertain to the use or
operation of the Product. EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY
PROVIDED IN THIS PARAGRAPH, SUPPLIER MAKES
NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY
KIND, NATURE OR DESCRIPTION, EXPRESSED OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS OF
ANY OF THE PRODUCTS FOR ANY PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND HEREBY
DISCLAIMS THE SAME.
In order to assert your rights under this warranty, please
return the Product to your vendor together with a written
description of the alleged defect and proof of purchase.
Your distributor will forward the Product to Supplier for
analysis of the validity of your claim.
