• Time Attack mode
This is a single-player mode in which a player races around the course alone and
competes against time.
The Time Attack mode can be activated by holding the Versus Race Cancel button
pressed and selecting "100cc" or "150cc" while the "Select Class" screen is
displayed.
• Mario Coin
By accumulating Mario coins and saving them on a card, a player can obtain
prizes from about 100 different types, such as original cards, special items and
special frames, according to the number of saved coins. The obtained prizes can
be used in the next and subsequent games.
Mario coins can be collected in the following ways.
Coins can be obtained by making contact with the Mario coins (coins with "M"
mark on the race course).
Coins are provided according to the race result.
Coins are provided according to the Challenge game result.
• Auto Acceleration function
To enable children who are too small to reach the accelerator pedal to play the
game, the machine features an Auto Acceleration function.
When the accelerator pedal is not depressed for a set period of time, the
accelerator pedal automatically sets itself in a full-throttle position and the kart
starts running (in the 50cc and 100cc classes only). If the accelerator pedal or
brake pedal is depressed during the Auto Acceleration mode, the function is
cancelled and the player can operate in the normal way.
• Others
On the card data confirmation screen, a player can set the following items.
Photography in single-player mode: "Photo" or "No Photo" (Photo must be taken
