Replacing/Snapping into place
The disposable CO
absorber must be replaced as soon as one of

the following conditions applies:
–
The inspiratory CO
concentration has reached approx.

5 mmHg.
–
The soda lime has turned 2/3 violet.
–
The disposable CO
absorber has been used for 4 weeks or
2
longer.
NOTE
The color change is reversible. Therefore, depleted soda lime
can be accidentally considered to be unused. Regarding when to
replace the soda lime, the color change is only a rough indicator.
The CO
monitoring is the decisive factor.

device and dispose of immediately.
