Infinity ID function
Infinity ID CLIC Absorber with integrated transponder. For Dräger
devices using the Infinity ID technology, the transponder is used
for the device-side detection of the CLIC Absorber.
NOTE
The transponder must not be damaged or removed. This would
disrupt the Infinity ID function.
The Infinity ID CLIC Absorber is compatible with all anesthesia
workstations from Dräger that are operated with a CLIC Absorber.
Reprocessing of the CLIC adapter
Information on reprocessing
The reprocessing instructions comply with the ISO 17664:2004
standard.
Safety information
WARNING
Risk of infection
Reusable products must be reprocessed. Otherwise there
is an increased risk of infection and the functioning of the
products may be impaired.
–
Comply with the hospital's hygiene regulations.
–
Use validated procedures for reprocessing.
–
Reprocess reusable products after each use.
–
Observe the manufacturer's instructions on cleaning
agents and disinfectants.
CAUTION
Risk due to faulty products
Reusable products may show signs of wear, such as cracks, de-
formations, discolorations, or peeling.
Check products for signs of wear and replace if necessary.
WARNING
Use the cleaning disc to ensure proper, hygienic
reprocessing of the CLIC adapter.
Otherwise, the bypass will not open and the cleaning fluid
will not be distributed over the whole CLIC adapter.
Instructions for use CLIC Absorber 800+ / Infinity ID CLIC Absorber 800+ / CLIC Adapter
1
Insert the cleaning disc into the CLIC adapter.
2
Close the CLIC adapter until it snaps into place and the sealing
is pressed down.
3
Turn the CLIC adapter over and place it in the washer-disinfec-
tor as shown. Otherwise, proper reprocessing is not ensured.
Information on disinfectants
Use disinfectants that have received national approval and
that are suitable for the reprocessing prodedure in question.
Classification for reprocessing
Classification of medical devices
Medical devices and their components are classified according to
the way they are used and the resulting risk.
Classification
Definition
Non-critical
Components that only come into contact
with intact skin
Semi-critical
Components that carry breathing gas or
come into contact with mucous membranes
or non-intact skin
Semi-critical A Without special requirements on
reprocessing
Semi-critical B With increased requirements on
reprocessing
Critical
Components that penetrate skin or mucous
membranes or come into contact with blood
Classification of the CLIC adapter
Semi-critical B
Validated reprocessing procedures
The suitability of a reprocessing procedure depends on the
classification of the component.
The effectiveness of the listed reprocessing procedures was
validated by independent laboratories certified in accordance with
ISO 17025.
At the time of validation, the following reprocessing procedures
showed good material compatibility and effectiveness:
