• During pregnancy or nursing
• after exposure to the sunlight or artificial tanning in the past 28
days
• if you have tattoos or permanent makeup in the treatment area
• if you have dark brown or black spots, such as large freckles, birth
marks, moles or warts in the treatment area
• if you have active eczema, psoriasis, lesions, open wounds or
infections (such as herpes outbreaks) in the treatment area. Wait
for the area to be healed before using the appliance
• if you have a history of kelodial scar formation
• if you are aware of being photosensitive
• if you take medicines which make skin more sensitive to light,

including non steroidal anti-inflammatories (like aspirin, ibuprofen,
paracetamol), tetracyclines, phenothiazines, thiazide,diuretics,
sulfonylurea, sulfonamides,
griseofulvin, alfa hydroxy acids (aHa), beta hydroxy acids (BHa),
retin-a®, accutane® and / or topical rethinoids or azelaic acid.
• if you have abnormal skin conditions, like albinism or vitiligo
• if you have varicose veins in the treatment areas
• if you are being or have recently been treated with alfa hydroxy acids
(aHa), beta hydroxy acids (BHa), retin-a®, topical rethinoids or
azelaic acid
• if you have abnormal skin conditions caused by diabetes or other
systemic or metabolic disorders
• if you have been treated with accutane® (isotretinoin) for the past
6 months
• if you have been on steroids during the last 3 months
• if you have a history of herpes outbreaks in the treatment area,
unless you have consulted your doctor and have been treated
before using the appliance
• if you suffer from epilepsy
• if you carry an active system, such as a pacemaker, an incontinence
aid, an insulin pump, etc.
• if you suffer from diseases related to photosensitivity, such as
porphyria, polymorphic light eruption, solar urticaria, lupus, etc.
• if you have a history of skin cancer or areas of potential skin
malignancies
• if you have undergone radiation therapy or chemotherapy within
the past 3 months
